Wormwood, otherwise known as Green Ginger & Madderwort, is a perennial plant native to Asia and Europe and naturalized in North America. Also known as absinthe wormwood, the plant produces tall spikes of branched, silver-grey foliage.

Although the herb was once commonly used to flavor beverages and liquors, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration classifies this herb as unsafe due to the presence of thujone. Today, wormwood is largely reserved for use in making herbal bitters.

Long considered a hallucinogen and potential poison, wormwood was banned in the United States for nearly a century, from 1912 until 2007. It’s now legally available in the United States. All parts of the plant have been used in traditional medicinal practices for hundreds of years

I paid for Next-Day shipping, so where is my package?

UPS does not consider Saturday or Sunday as an official 'business day'. So if you order on a Friday, your package will not arrive until Monday—which is the next 'business day'.

Additionally, USPS Priority Express often delivers next day, but if you carefully read USPS policy, Priority Express shipping permits them to take up to 2 business days to deliver. 

Please take special note of the above information when paying extra for express shipping. Shipping speeds are completely out of our control once we drop off your package.

What if my package says "delivered", but I cannot find it?

If you cannot find your package, make sure to wait at least 24 hours—on occasion USPS will scan prematurely and deliver the next business day. Also check your garage, porch, gates, or a neighbor's house. 


Fayetteville Herb Co will try to work with you, but unless you've opted for Express or Priority Shipping with insurance, missing packages with tracking numbers that say "delivered" are the responsibility of the purchaser.  
 

When I submit an order, how long until it's shipped?

Every effort is made to process and ship orders same day placed Monday through Friday before 3PM (CDT). Any order placed after 3PM (CDT) will be processed and shipped the next business day  

Shipping days are considered Monday through Friday. Shipments will not be made on Saturday or Sunday.

If your order does not get shipped same-day, please forgive us and do not worry. Your order will be shipped out the next business day. 


What delivery services do you use? 

We use USPS and UPS for order deliveries. 

You can choose shipping speed and delivery service preferences upon checkout. Otherwise, feel free to email us at help@fayettevilleherbco.com if you have special requirements or need to place an international order.

How do I know my order is confirmed or shipped?

All customers should immediately receive an e-mail with their order confirmation following checkout. Shipping confirmation will also be sent out when a tracking # is generated. Do you accept Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies as payment?

Order Fulfillment Timeline

When an order is placed, all efforts are made to ship the product the same day as long as the order was placed before 3PM (CDT) Monday thru Friday (except federal holidays). However, if your order isn't shipped same day, rest assured it will be shipped out the next 'business day'. 

On certain occasions when stock is limited—an estimated shipping date will be placed on the product's description or the site's homepage as a top header.
