What compounds that are lost during the alcohol extraction process are regained and activated by the hot-water and high-temp steam-treated process. And the same goes for all the other forms. The goal here is to incorporate all the lost beneficial compounds and have them aligned and activated in a single mushroom capsule.

Alongside the four forms of the mushroom incorporated in all of our Spectrum Series Mushroom Products, we also include mycelium, chitin, and niacin.

MYCELIUM — We keep 50% organic and immunologically-active mycelium in our mushroom complexes in order to symbiotically align with your gut's microflora. Even though most of our complex utilizes the fruiting bodies, we heed mycologist Paul Stamets' advice, that there are active benefits available in mycelium.

CHITIN — We keep 8% chitin levels in our natural form mushroom powder to round out the diversity of the full mushroom spectrum. While not fully digestible, chitin is a critical pre-biotic fibrous cellulose that again symbiotically aligns with our gut's microflora. We aren't going to keep Chitin out of our complex if benefits are to be had—that's for sure.

NIACIN — Even though Niacin is naturally found in mushrooms, the Spectrum Series includes an extra boost.
